Beiersdorf Q1 Group Sales Up 4.8% Organically, Backs FY17 Outlook - Quick Facts

Beiersdorf AG (BDRFY.PK,BDRFF.PK) reported that its first-quarter Group sales increased organically by 4.8 percent from the same period last year.

In nominal terms, sales for the quarter rose 7.7 percent to 1.80 billion euros from 1.67 billion euros a year ago.

The Consumer Business Segment recorded organic growth of 3.0 percent, while organic sales at tesa rose 13.5 percent.

Looking ahead to fiscal 2017, Beiersdorf continues to expect Group sales growth of 3 percent to 4 percent, and the consolidated EBIT margin from operations to be slightly higher than in the previous year.

The company expects full-year sales growth in the Consumer Business Segment to outperform the market at 3 to 4 percent, and sales growth at tesa of 4 to 5 percent.
