Diageo sales to be impacted by late Chinese New Year and India highway ban

Drinks giant Diageo has warned that its organic net sales growth for the first six months of 2017 will be impacted by the later timing of Chinese New Year and by the expected impact of the highway ban in India.

The highway ban refers to the banning of alcohol outlets within 500 meters of national and state highways in India which was imposed in April.
