Bulgaria: Bulgarian Initiative to Send Books to North Macedonia supported by President Radev bgnes

Bulgarian President Rumen Radev supported the initiative "Send a Bulgarian book to Macedonia" by donating novels by the famous Bulgarian writer, Dimitar Talev, who was born in the city of Prilep (today in Republic of North Macedonia).

"The European Union's strength is not only in the free movement of people, goods, services and capital, but above all, in the free exchange of ideas, spirituality and culture. I hope that the Republic of North Macedonia's state leadership, which so energetically demonstrates an aspiration to join the European Union, will be guided by the community's fundamental principles. Every book carries a huge spiritual charge and emotion, especially when read in the author's native language, without forgery or falsification," said President Rumen Radev.

The head of state met with Viktor Stoyanov, the founder of the initiative. A few days ago, the authorities of the Republic of North Macedonia did not allow Stoyanov to enter the country with a donation of nearly 1,000 Bulgarian books and he was returned./bnt
