Kazakhstan has begun to detain Russian trucks with goods from Europe, presenting the transporters unreasonable demands, the "Izvestia" wrote, referring to the Association of International Road Carriers and the Russian Ministry of Transport.

According to the representative of the Association, the Russian side is aware of at least eight cases of detention of trucks of domestic carriers delivering goods from the EU, but it is impossible to name the exact number of trains stuck in Kazakhstan.

Some of them are at offender parking lots, where each day of storage is expensive. Others are at customs terminals. Some of the trains are standing right on the road. All the documents are taken from the drivers, so they can't go anywhere, he journalists quote an ASMAP employee.

The Association of International Road Carriers recommended that Russian companies refrain from transporting goods to Kazakhstan until the controversial situation is resolved.
