Gareth Bale has become a businessman. The Welshman has decided to launch his own range of beer to celebrate Wales' return to the World Cup after an absence of 64 years.

With the Qatar World Cup just around the corner, the Los Angeles FC player wanted to commemorate his country's return to the footballing extravaganza.

The Welshman has announced that the beer will be on sale from Monday in Wales. The beer has two versions, 'Bale Ale' and 'Bale lager' and will cost 2 dollars.

He also explained that the idea is that next year it will be exported to the United States, with the idea of promoting it first in Los Angeles, the city where Bale lives.

As a result, the former Real Madrid player has entered the world of business, as his time as a footballer comes to an end.

After signing for LAFC, it was thought he would return to enjoying football, but his impact in California is yet to be felt.

A project for a good cause

The five-time European champion has indicated that part of the proceeds will go towards investing in grassroots football in Wales.

"With this project, we aim to give something back to Welsh football and in particular, we want to help develop football facilities across Wales at a local level," he said.

"Hopefully the fans of Wales will be able to enjoy Bale Ale and Bale Lager while we play in this year's World Cup."

An alarming confession

Injuries have been a major problem for him in recent years and in MLS he has not been able to find the fitness to perform as he would like to for 90 minutes.

"I haven't played 90 minutes yet and I'm working towards that goal. I think we are on the right track. Of course I want to play 90 minutes every time, but I understand that I need to prepare myself physically and that's something I haven't done in the last few seasons," he said.
