
3.5 million euros in EU funding for innovative enterprises
SLOVENIA, May 15 - The EU-funded call for proposals will support at least nine Slovenian companies, in line with the terms of the international Eurostars 3 programme, that carry out market-oriented R&D and innovation projects and form international consortia. Slovenian partners are eligible for funding for implementing the part of Eurostars projects that takes the form of industrial research and experimental development. To be awarded the Eurostars label, each project’s final objective must be a new product, process or service with a planned time-to-market within 12 months of the end of the project. Thus, the call for proposals encourages Slovenian companies to carry out market-oriented research, development and innovation (RDI) projects and join companies in international consortia, thus enabling companies to follow the European R&D and entrepreneurship trends. The call for proposals is open to large, medium-sized, small and micro enterprises.
The Eurostars 3 call for proposals under the Eureka Initiative for the period 2025-2029 is implemented under Slovenia’s EU Cohesion Policy Programme 2021-2027, under the priority Innovative knowledge-based society, and pursues the specific objective Developing and enhancing research and innovation capacities and the uptake of advanced technologies.
The call for proposals, worth 4.5 million euros, will receive 3,509,717.89 euros in EU funding from the European Regional Development Fund.
The call for proposals, which contributes to achieving the objectives of Slovenia’s EU Cohesion Policy Programme 2021-2027, will be published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia tomorrow, 16 May 2025, by the Slovenian Research and Innovation Agency.
